Early Style Builds
Toon Models
The very first model renders of Toons, complete with higher-quality models for Mickey, Donald and Goofy.
Toontown Central Render
The very first render of Toontown Central, where the tunnel system is formed for the first time, and was vastly different from the finalized design.
- The Ritz Carltoon hotel was present.
- The Toontown Toon Central hall was taken from Toon Tag.
- There was no Trolley.
- The hi-rise buildings in the background originally had a blue color scheme in comparison to grey.
Ritz Carltoon
The Ritz Carltoon hotel (parody of Ritz Carlton) was originally a planned residential area for Toons, located in Toontown Central. Each Toon would have their own room that could be customized optionally. It was also described as a place where Toons hang out, chat, change their avatar and learn more about the game.
The Pick-a-Toon selection screen was originally intended to take place within the Ritz Carltoon Hotel. Notably this artwork features a button labeled "Exit to Blast", blast being an online Disney subscription service that would've had Toontown Online bundled with it.

The idea would be wholly scrapped in several months time, but would be retooled as the Estate we all know to this day; a feature that would be added post-launch.
Later Style Build
Street Concept
Detailed concept art for Toontown Central buildings intended for Streets were drawn.
- One-story buildings don't appear in the final.
Pre-Alpha Image
A slightly later build of the screenshot, originally the oldest when Jesse Schnell posted it in 2013. Toontown Central there is depicted as a simplistic testing environment. Strangely, the environment resembles that of the Toontown UK website used in circa 2005.
- The finalized buildings that would be seen on the streets are present. Toon Hall can also be seen on the left, with the model matching that of the previous build.
- The cityscape graphic was recolored to an apparent monochrome palette, creating more of a contrast with the colorful setting.
- The Laff Meter was originally represented by health and was very placeholder-y.
- Trees were originally modelled in 3D as opposed to being 2D textures.
- There was no Shticker Book or SpeedChat button the HUD.
- Comic MS was the textual font being used.

The very first drawn concepts for Gags that appear to be from around the time of the 1.0 Design Document. They have a different appearance in comparison to the Battle System concept art.
