Prerelease:LEGO Dimensions
This page details pre-release information and/or media for LEGO Dimensions.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article? |
This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |

Development Timeline
2017
- October 27 - End of support for the game is confirmed.
Year 3
On March 15, 2017, LEGO Dimensions fansite Bricks to Life would post an article reporting on a rumor they had heard about the game's support ending soon. Eurogamer, who had previously reported about the 3-year plans of the game, would publish a report of their own on October 18 of that year. Content claimed in the article included:
- Vortech was originally slated be the final character added in Year 3, but was then moved to Year 2 before he ultimately went unreleased. He does have various voice lines and some references leftover in-game, however.
- A Story Pack revolving around Minecraft.
- The Flash and Missy from Doctor Who added as character packs.
- It was also claimed by Eurogamer that a device that would scan in LEGO builds from a 5×5 block size was developed. It was alleged that a version of the device was working but never greenlit for full production.
Bricks to Life would publish a followup article in the wake of Eurogamer's piece, corroborating much of the information claimed by Eurogamer. It should be noted that Bricks to Life would later publish a list of franchises allegedly considered for Year 3, but this information has not been verified independently and should be taken with a grain of salt.
