Quarter Back Scramble was announced by Accolade for a US release as Mike Ditka's Big Play Football in Q4 1990, but cancelled its release for unknown reasons. A prototype of this version exists but has not been publicly released. While a reproduction cart bearing this name was released in 2008, it's based on a different prototype with changes by the people who released it.
According to VideoGames & Computer Entertainment writer Chris Bieniek, among other minor changes the FCI logo was removed from the field and the cheerleader on the main menu was changed. He also released a draft of the manual, a press release, and a letter in response to his questions about Mike Ditka's involvement on his website.
