SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants! was announced on January 31st, 2005. It was released worldwide in October 2005.

E3 2005 Footage

This is footage of the game from E3 2005. It shows off the Flippin Out mini game. There are some odd differences visible.

  • The background is different.
  • Excellent text is present but is never seen in the final version.
  • Pattie Combo is spelled differently, has different text and lacks the 20 text at the start of it.
  • Perfect Round text is different and in a different position.

Trailer

This trailer was a part of the Where's Gary DVD from 2005. Many of the mini-games and their assets looked radically different than what they would become in the final game.

  • The photo frame for all the SpongeBob characters was a different colour.
  • The score you earn for each pole touched in Flingin' & Swingin' is different.
  • The mini map in Flingin' & Swingin' is different.
  • The Krusty Krab interior for Flippin Out is different.
  • Patty combo text in Flippin Out is different.
  • The score system for Weight and Sea is different.
  • The weights box for Weight and Sea is in a different position.
  • The background for Weight and Sea is different.
  • The timer in Weight and Sea is different.
  • The Chum Bucket interior for Zapped! is completely different.
  • The bumper bonus text in Goo-Ladiators is different and in a different position.
  • There is no food icon beside the food output meter in Machine Meltdown.
  • The fix text in Machine Meltdown is different.

Commercial

This commercial has some differences. There isn't as many as the trailer.

  • The playtime-icon in Seahorse Stampede is different.
  • No score text for each 10 poles touched in Flingin' & Swingin'.
  • No button input icons for playing music in Rock Bottom.
