Early Build

This build is seemingly the earliest build, with Sparx almost identical to the version found in the 'classic' Spyro games, and Spyro's health bar absent entirely.

The level graphics were redrawn, and the enemy text is pure black, whereas it's white with a black outline. Spyro's sprite is not used in the final game.

The graphics in the bottom left are a little garbled. As before, the same unused Spyro sprite is here.

Later Build

This build has a different Sparx model that closer resembles his Legend of Spyro appearance, and shows an early health bar for Spyro with a rather off-model head sprite that was removed in the final.

The mountainous background was reworked into a more steampunk one.

The crystal background was redrawn into an ice palace themed background.

Box Build

Potentially the same build as the 'Later Build', seen at the back of the box.

A different earth effect, and the same mountain background as seen in the Later Build.

The background was again redrawn for the final game.

Unknown Build

You can't view the backgrounds without the accompanying text in the final.
