Hiddenpalace.org logo.png  This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace.

Released by Hidden Palace in 2021 as part of Project Deluge. It is dated a month and a half before the final build. It has a plethora of differences.

Differences

  • The Regency logo is just a static image.
  • The opening of Angel Face blowing up the building has no sound, the smiley face graffiti is a different colour and the number 444 is visible on top of the building.
  • The Title screen is an ingame model instead of an FMV cutscene, as seen in early footage of the game. The cutscene in question is still in the games files, albeit entirely unfinished.
  • The Story Mode uses two intros, an early version of the animated one from the final game and an unused slideshow type cutscene which features Angel Face telling everyone the rules of Fight Club. This cutscene can also be found in the final games files, where it sits unused, presumably to avoid being redundant.
  • Arcade Mode ending cutscenes are very unfinished. They lack music and the background crowds are absent in 4 of the endings.
  • The behind the scenes film cast interviews for the unlockable characters aren't present.
  • The Story Mode slideshows lack blood.
  • The "Normal" difficulty is called "Wimp".
  • The Practice Mode is very unfinished. Most of the combos either have no name or recycle names from other combos.
  • The menu SFX are different.
  • The accept SFX is different.
  • There is a Crowd Audio option in the Audio Settings menu.
  • The fighters make audible moans and comments now. They actually didn't play that often in this recording, but they are actually a bit more varied than what's shown here. They appear to just be developer making rude remarks.
  • The ending video texts are different.
  • The early skeleton model from the PS2 version of the game is present in this build.
  • The music playlists have placeholder names and appear to have songs that are missing from the final game, the most noteworthy one being Everybody Everywhere by Scott Clausen.
  • A download music pack is referenced within the Music Playlists.
  • The camera is positioned differently in the Emergency Services menu.
  • The character stats / bios in the Emergency Services menu are unfinished.
  • Early name text and health bars are present.
  • The credits are just some scrolling text, as opposed to the FMV featured in the final game. They are also very unfinished.
  • The loading text is different.
  • The menus are all different in certain ways and all have broken visuals. This could be because the developers hadn't properly adjusted the game to its 16:9 resolution yet.
  • You can choose different fighting styles when you create a clone character in the Member Services menu, unlike the final game which locks them to their native fighting style. The lack of said lock can result in some hilarious results as seen in this video.
  • Some of the characters appear to be wearing some early outfits.
