This is a sub-page of Proto:Genshin Impact/CBT1.

This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
Need to rework this page to account for how the scenes correctly function when using the server bins instead of Soggy. This mainly applies to those with special functions, such as the Gameplay Test scenes.

There are a total of 55 scenes within CBT1, though only a handful are normally used. The remaining consist of test scenes that were gutted in later versions of Genshin Impact; even in most dev builds.

Many scenes are configured in a way to make it look like you are heading out-of-bounds, making the game display a dark screen filter. To disable the out-of-bounds filter, follow these steps:

  • Find UserAssembly.dll located in \GS_Data\Native\
  • Open UserAssembly.dll in a hex editor, and go to offset 0x2082830.
  • Replace the byte 40 with c3.

The scenes below are listed by their ID and ScriptData names. To access them with Soggy, use the "scene" command, followed by the desired scene ID.

Sub-Page

GenshinImpact-CBT1-TestLevel LiYue CX-1.png
Unassigned Levels
Additional levels that are normally not assigned to a scene ID, including a primitive Liyue!

1 - MengdeSmall_LevelStreaming

This scene is empty, however, it uses the MengDe_small image while viewing the map screen! There are several Teleport Waypoints on the minimap, but these do not appear on the map screen.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1-Map.png

2 - MengdeSmall_LevelStreaming

Like scene 1, it is empty, but uses the MengDe_small image while viewing the map screen. This variant of the scene lacks Teleport Waypoints on the minimap.

3 - BigWorld_LevelStreaming

Hmmm...
To do:
There's a lot more to look at; probably enough for a sub page. Only looked at a few areas so far.

The open world that you normally explore. Plenty of differences abound!

  • The map screen changes in color depending on the time of day.
  • The infamous Timmie is absent from Mondstadt's bridge, though his pigeons are still there.
  • The Adventurer's Guild is missing from Mondstadt, with Wagner's Blacksmith Shop being in its place.
  • An NPC named Elfie represents the Adventurer's Guild, standing outside the Cat's Tail Tavern. Speaking to her will allow you to change your party.
  • Flora, the flower shop owner, is depicted as an adult, but was changed to be a child in later versions.
  • A lot of the less important NPCs are nameless, though not all.
  • The Sprial Abyss is absent, with a domain titled "Weathered Spire" in its place. The island it is on is also much smaller and generic. This domain leads to scene 20011.

Incomplete areas

  • Liyue is completely absent, with just generic placeholder terrain beyond the Dawn Winery.
  • You can't enter the Dawn Winery building, with only its outside being explorable.
  • Dragonspine, while incomplete, is surprisingly more detailed than its placeholder in CBT2 - v1.1.
  • Wolvendom is incomplete.
    • The nearby Teleport Waypoints don't work properly and warp the player far out of bounds to coordinates (0, 0, 0). The Waypoints themselves are positioned correctly in-game, though.
    • The route leading up to the arena has a much more generic appearance, lacking things like the claw markings and dead trees.
    • The arena where Andrius is fought is absent, with a small pond in its place. The sword that would be used to summon him later on is present, however.

1001 - ClimbTest1

As the name suggests, this scene's primary purpose is to test climbing mechanics, sporting a variety of test objects and terrain for the player to climb up or onto.

  • The stairs and blocks on the west side of the map have units of measurement in front of them.
  • On the east side of the map, there are many moving platforms that can be ridden. There's also some terrain with an extremely flickery texture with some grass growing out of it.
  • Some of the objects are early, untextured renditions of Mondstadt buildings.
  • Towards the middle of the map, there are transparent pink trees.

It's worth noting that this scene appeared in the Version 2.0 special program at 12:03, though it appears to be a newer iteration with a textured floor and additional objects.

1002 - ClimbTest2

A huge scene that's also meant for testing climbing. You spawn off the stage normally, so Soggy's "warp" command will need to be used to position yourself correctly (coordinates (0, 400, 0)) are sufficient for this).

  • The southern side of the map has complex geometry attached to a very tall wall.
  • The northern side has green bars and buildings from Mondstadt.
  • The Knights of Favonius Headquarters has each of its levels of detail rendered, with the full detail version being inside the low detail model. Only the full detail model has collision.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1002-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1002-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1002-3.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1002-4.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1002-5.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1002-6.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1002-7.png

1003 - TheBigWorld

This scene crashes the game when attempting to load. Presumably by its name, it would have been a variant of the open world without asset streaming, similar to one of the unassigned levels.

1004 - Knight_Inside_Test

Although it's labeled as a test scene, it's just the usual Knights of Favonius Headquarters. Its name retains the "Test" suffix to this day.

1005 - ChurchSteal

The basement of Mondstadt's cathedral used for the sneaking mission.

1006 - Level_PFDungeon01

Appears to be a variant of the dungeon "A Tear Amidst the Depths of Jungle".

The exit leads to scene 1001.

1007 - Level_FireFlyForese02_XYD

1008 - ChurchLobby

Mondstadt's cathedral.

  • The nuns are nameless, and the Fatui agent is absent.

1009 - AngelShare

The Angel's Share tavern.

1010 - BigWorld_1_-5_XYD

An early version of the open world! This scene only covers the eastern part of the Mondstadt region, meaning that the Dawn Winery, Stormterror's Domain and the city of Mondstadt are not represented.

  • A lot of the elevated terrain is missing collision.
  • A couple domains are here, but cannot be entered.
  • Many arrows are laid out that route to areas of interest.
    • Starsnatch Cliff
    • Thousand Winds Temple
    • Windrise
    • The location where the wind current leading to the Temple of the Lion domain would be.
    • Unknown domain in between Windrise and Thousand Winds Temple. (Doesn't exist nowadays.)
  • Some areas are in a primitive state. In general, the layout is there, but is rough or lacking in detail.
    • Cape Oath: Missing just about everything but land.
    • Dadaupa Gorge: The Hilichurl tribes are kind of barren and have improper collision.
    • Forgotten Sword Cemetery: Has placeholder swords and is missing the tree trunks.
    • Starfell Lake: Hilichurl buildings are missing.
    • Stormbearor Mountains: Missing just about everything but land.
    • Thousand Winds Temple: Barely developed.
    • Windrise: Its tree is generic and is surrounded by pink water.
    • Musk Reef and the Secret Island east of the game's starting point are missing.
  • There's an area in the southwest corner of the scene that has a small lake and snowy-looking trees.
  • This scene cuts off right before where the city of Mondstadt would begin. Truly a pity.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-3.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-4.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-5.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-6.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-7.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-8.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-9.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-10.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-11.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-12.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-13.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-14.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-15.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1010-16.png

1011 - Level_Gameplay_Test

One of several Gameplay Test scenes. These are abundant with entities, so they will tank the frame rate, even on high-end systems.

  • Water lacks collision.
  • The southern side of the map contains rooms filled with enemies.
  • The northern side has corridors with walls covered in vines. Some of the tiles lack collision, but it isn't clear which ones do from a glance.
  • Plenty of hilichurl buildings are here.
  • Perhaps the weirdest thing here are these floating faces that lack irises, blink on their own, and go flying when you bump into them.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-3.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-4.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-5.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-6.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-7.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-8.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-16.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-9.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-10.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-11.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-12.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-13.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-14.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1011-15.png

1012 - Level_Gameplay_Test

Another Gameplay Test scene, similar to the first one.

  • Compared to scene 1011, there are far fewer enemies.
  • An unused Dendro Hilichurl resides in one of the rooms, stuck in a t-pose except for its head. Hitting it makes its head rapidly spin.
  • The western portion of the area is covered in huge floating platforms, some of which are turned sideways to act like walls.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1012-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1012-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1012-3.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1012-4.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1012-5.png

1013 - SneakAdvancedTest

A small room that appears to have been used to test the sneaking mechanics used in the basement of the Cathedral. Nothing seems to reside in this scene.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1013-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1013-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1013-3.png

1015 - WindZone

Despite the name, there's no wind here. Just a simple room with Hilichurls and Abyss Mages in it.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1015-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1015-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene1015-3.png

20000 - Level_Gameplay_Test

Yet another Gameplay Test scene, but with a different assortment of entities.

  • This one focuses more on objects and has a smaller amount of enemies.
  • There are multiple test objects that electrify the player.
  • Some Geo amber can be found in this scene. This type of amber is currently not used, but works as you would expect.
  • Some of the Hilichurls are walking in midair.
  • There's a strange Statue of the Seven on top of a Geo pillar that seems to be shooting water out of its orb.
  • A floating barrel with a rope attached to it can be found in one of the rooms, and can be shot down.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20000-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20000-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20000-3.png Don't mind them, they know what they're doing. GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20000-5.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20000-6.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20000-7.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20000-8.png

20001 - Dragon_Dungeon

Hmmm...
To do:
Rip the text textures so they can be legible and translated.

A test dungeon that deserves a huge epilepsy warning. Nearly every surface has a flickering texture. Consider capping the game to a low frame rate to reduce the flickering effect, should you choose to explore this scene.

  • A cube that serves as the dungeon's exit is placed at the start, taking you to scene 1001.
  • Wind currents are also placed at the start, letting you go over a lot of the dungeon without encountering enemies.
  • Chinese placeholder text is placed throughout the dungeon.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-3.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-4.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-5.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-6.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-7.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-8.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-9.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-10.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-11.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-12.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-13.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20001-14.png

20002 - TacticsScene_Forest

A grassy platform with a forest theme. Not too much to find here besides a wind current and an incomplete Hilichurl tower that can be climbed higher than you expect.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20002-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20002-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20002-3.png

20003 - TacticsScene_Lake

Another landform similar to TacticsScene_Forest with sets of wind rings.

  • Several treasure chests are floating in midair.
  • The pink is water you can swim in.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20003-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20003-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20003-3.png

20004 - TacticsScene_Plain

Similar to TacticsScene_Forest, but with less trees. Some of the trees are floating off the stage.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20004-1.png

20005 - TacticsScene_River

A more elaborate TacticsScene with a greater assortment of objects.

  • There's a textureless pink bridge to walk across.
  • Textureless pink water surrounds the bridge.
  • A lot of the objects are floating in midair.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20005-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20005-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20005-3.png

20007 - PlotLevel_BarbaraMission02_Xyd

Based on the name, this is a scrapped domain intended for Barbara.

  • The beginning of the dungeon is littered with objects.
  • There's a platform at the beginning that will take you up to the roof, which lets you skip most of the level.
  • It's possible to get to a lower floor of the dungeon by falling through the holes in the floor, but there isn't a way to get back up without climbing.
  • There are many cylindrical towers in the background that have a flickery texture.
  • There's a lone Teleport Waypoint at the end, probably used a placeholder for the exit.

20011 - Level_LisaTutorialMission02

Lisa's tutorial dungeon.

20018 - DvalinTest_S04

The "Confront Stormterror" Trounce Domain. Some of the platforms are raised up, whereas they are all the same height in the current version.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20018-1.png

20021 - Level_PFDungeon02_Lisa

A test dungeon hosting some test objects that electrify the player, as well as many placeholder laser emitters. Heading south will reveal that it's a section added onto "A Tear Amidst the Depths of Jungle".

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20021-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20021-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20021-3.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20021-4.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20021-5.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene20021-6.png

50000 - IndoorHallTest

This scene demonstrates how additional rooms are loaded in after opening doors, which is utilized in areas like the Knights of Favonius Headquarters. If you warp above the level, you can see how this works at each step, with the rooms appearing/disappearing.

GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene50000-1.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene50000-2.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene50000-3.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene50000-4.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene50000-5.png GenshinImpact-CBT1-Scene50000-6.png

50002 - TestLevel_Cold_LYX

An experimental Dragonspine that attempts to make a level out of what they had so far.

Note: This scene normally unloads its groups (which includes objects and enemies) at short distances. To resolve this in Soggy, you can either increase the distance for when groups get unloaded, or comment out the code that unloads groups.

  • The sheer cold effect is in place (represented by a green stamina bar), which will apply Cryo and damage your character while in effect. Interestingly, this appears to affect the enemies as well, whereas it does not in the current version.
  • There are several Statues of the Seven placed around; each with a treasure chest. There's only one Statue on Dragonspine in the released version.
  • At the beginning of the scene, there are test objects that act as falling icicles, dropping on you when approached. Icicles like this appear in the caves of Dragonspine in the released version.
  • A lot of the other objects seem haphazardly placed.
