...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
  • Look through the CBT2 text assets, they may contain early names for these weapons.

CBT2 has many unused weapons that would appear in later versions of the game, as well as unreleased weapons and old versions of weapons later released with a new design.

Note that many of the weapon series names and weapons associated with them are largely fan conjecture based on appearance and other in-game factors such as lore, and are thus mostly unconfirmed.

Early Weapon Designs

Early versions of weapons which were redesigned before release.

Inazuma Series

Earlier versions of the 5★ weapons Mistsplitter Reforged and Kagura's Verity added to the game in Versions 2.0 and 2.5 respectively.

Wanderer's Troupe Series

Earlier version of the 4★ weapon The Widsith added to the game in Version 1.0. Its early design bears resemblance to the weapons from the Millenial Movement series, meaning it may have once been associated with said series instead.

Misc items

Wooden Sword can be seen equipped on Ellin of Mondstadt during her daily combat trainings; however, there was no way for players to obtain it until Version 4.0, when a Quest Item named Jabberwock's Holy Sword / Holy Blade of Narzissenkreuz was added to the game. It uses the same model, but since it's only an item, unfortunately, players cannot use it as a weapon. It's design hasn't been changed since CBT2.

Unused Weapons

Weapons that currently remain unused or unobtainable in-game.

Primordial Jade Series

An unused claymore and bow from the Primordial Jade series, internally named Morax. In the current release, only the sword Primordial Jade Cutter, polearm Primordial Jade Winged Spear and catalyst Jadefall's Splendor appear in-game.

Kunwu Series

An unused bow from the Kunwu series. Despite its designated series however, its design bears resemblance to the weapons from the Liyue series.

Boreas Series

An unused polearm, seemingly designed after the character Lupus Boreas, Wolf of the North.

Unused 3-Star Series

An unused claymore, catalyst and bow, named Quartz, Amber Catalyst and Ebony Bow respectively. Though they were obtainable in the gacha system during CBT2, they don't exist in the current release of the game. Their designs are heavily similar to other later released weapons, meaning they may have been cut and had their designs repurposed.

Quartz bears some resemblance to Skyrider Greatsword, Amber Catalyst bears some resemblance to Emerald Orb, and Ebony Bow bears some resemblance to Slingshot.

Misc Sets

Some unused weapons without a definite series, named Transcended Sword, Appease Claymore and Moonfall Bow respectively.
