This is a sub-page of Proto:Jurassic Park: Trespasser/Build 96.

Industrial Jungle underwent some heavy changes in development since it was one of the first few levels actually put into the game engine. Here in Build 96, the terrain height has been altered resulting in many objects floating in the air, including numerous trees! This is most likely related to the removal of Plantation House and the terrain needing to be adjusted to fit the changes. In addition, many of the textures for the ground are different than the final's.

The Beginning

At the start of the level, the first thing that will be noticed is that the ground textures are still from earlier builds of the level. Secondly, turning around at the starting point to face what's behind Anne as shown in the screenshot above, the player will notice the lack of large rocks. In the final, there are large rocks in this spot. Without these rocks, the area seems a little bare which is probably why they were added in the final. Originally, the area at the start had nothing keeping Anne from walking off the edge of the map and into the level's basement. The terrain was raised to both prevent this, and look like the end of Jungle Road.

The Motorcycle

This motorcycle is here in the final. However, it's one complete object. Apparently, the middle of the cycle is a separate object from the wheels in Build 96's levels. In fact, there's a spot later on where another motorcycle can be found that has the front and back with it. Strangely, the front and back don't seem to have any physics.

Billboard Objects in Odd Places

For some strange reason, the 2D "billboard" objects used to render trees and other similar objects in Industrial Jungle are much closer to the player than they should be which just looks weird. This is probably the result of terrain alterations from older builds.

Weapon Oddities

This Hunting Rifle is not found in this location in the final.

This Barreta 93r is here in the final but it's on the ground. Also, in the prototype, in addition to floating in the air, the magnets for grabbing it are screwed up allowing Anne to grab it at any spot on the gun. As a result, Anne can shoot herself in the face with it if positioned right. (Which is totally pointless but very hilarious at the same time.)

Another Motorcycle

This motorcycle on this ledge isn't there in the final. Interestingly, a .357 Magnum (S&W Model 686) can be found near it. The wheels also don't react to Anne touching them as mentioned earlier and they are also separate from the middle of the motorcycle.

More Floating Crap

As if floating trees in Jungle Road were bad enough. Here in Industrial Jungle, it gets much worse. There are twice as many floating objects in this level than there were in Jungle Road. Most of these objects are trees. This spot may look pretty tame, but just wait until later on in the level. Most of this is the result of heightmap changes done to add in the Raptor Nest area and the jump off the cliff leading into the second half of the level. Earlier versions of Jungle Road do not have this drop or the raptor nest area and the second half can simply be walked to.

Missing Water

In the final, there is a pool of water in this pit. The water was actually there in previous builds, so it's possible the pool was just moved and the water wasn't.

The Wrecked Truck

In the final, there is an H&K 91 in the back of this truck. In this prototype however, there is a Desert Eagle instead.
