This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
There's a lot of specific stuff to cover here, including:
  • Unused LBP2-specific levels
  • Unused powerup types (Robo boots, Custom gun variants, Force Field powerup)
  • Unused logic, logic models, and unique tweak functions
  • Material, decoration, sticker, and object differences
  • Cover the Popov Dog costume in more depth (terrifying)
  • Cover the Pet NPC and its costume

This build contains quite an amount of content during the earlier, primitive stages of LittleBigPlanet 2. Given that the build is dated September 17th of 2009, these are the earliest assets that have currently surfaced thus far for the game. While a lot of the new additions are here, such as logic, Sackbots and the Creatinator (then named the Custom Gun), the story is so early that all the levels related to it are merely test levels aside from a couple of mini-games.

Popit Items

Costumes

A few costumes from a very early version of LittleBigPlanet 2 are present.

Popov Dog Costume

A costume referred to as the "Popov Dog" can be found; it's a terrifying combination of a Sackboy and Popov (early name for the Meanies) that walks on all fours. It can be seen in concept art alongside some other scary designs, but this is the only design to be found in this build. Given that the icon is only for the eye of the Popov, it's possible that the other variants existed in some form (as the icon doesn't properly reflect the costume's design.)

Logic

Early Logic Designs

All of the logic in this build is modeled in an LBP1-style rather than the final game's simplistic screen designs.

Behavior Modifier

A gadget used to swap between trigger states of logic.

Behavior Modifier

Impact Key

An alternative for the Magnetic Key intended for the Impact sensor; it was scrapped in favor of keys using labels.

Behavior Modifier

Ownership

A gadget referred to as the Ownership is used to assign player ownership to items, intended for the scrapped team mode.

Behavior Modifier

Direct Control Gadgets

Early gadgets that were later combined to make the Controlinator; the seat and circuitboard are considered separate entities.

Powerups

Force Field Powerup

A script for a force field powerup can be found if you swap the script triggercollectforce.ff with any of the other powerup scripts. It pushes away any objects next to the player when the R1 button is pressed, and will also kill nearby Sackbots.

Under gamedata/lbp2/unthemed/character_enhancements/guitar_spanish/, a model and icon for a guitar powerup can be found, which were likely intended to be used for this powerup.
