Additions
Blocks
Brewing Stand
- A block used for brewing potions.
- Currently, only the Awkward Potion, Thick Potion, Mundane Potion, Potion of Regeneration, Potion of Swiftness, Potion of Fire Resistance, Potion of Poison, Potion of Healing, Potion of Weakness, Potion of Strength, Potion of Slowness, and Potion of Harming are able to be brewed.
Cauldron
- The block ID is now fully assigned.
- This block is no longer used to brew potions, and is now only used to hold water.
Enchantment Table
- A block used for enchanting tools.
- Currently, enchanting has no use other than a placeholder system.
- The item states that it is "Enchanted!!" and glows purple in the inventory. The tooltips for the items are now blue as well.
End Portal Frame
A block that can naturally generate in strongholds in the shape of a circle. If repaired with Eyes of Ender, nothing happens as of yet.
End Portal Block
No functionality has been added for this block as of yet. However, it can still be repaired using an Eye of Ender. The texture differs from the texture added in Beta 1.9 Prerelease 4.

End Stone
A white cobblestone texture was added to the terrain.png in the spot where end stone would be found in the next pre-release. Despite this, it wasn't used by any block yet.

Items
Eye of Ender
An item that can be crafted and used to find strongholds. It does not have any other function as of yet.
Mobs
Breeding
- Wheat now attracts and feeds animals.
- After you feed an animal, they go into "love mode".
- Hearts will come out of animals while they are in this state.
- If two animals breed, baby animals will be produced.
- Babies are smaller versions of their parents that have large heads, faster movement, and make higher pitched sounds than their parents.
General
Brewing
The potion brewing system has been completely overhauled and is similar to the current version of brewing.
Enchanting
The only form of enchantment is listed above in the "Enchantment Table" section.
Item Repair
- If two of the same tool/weapon (that are damaged) are put into a crafting table, they will create one tool/weapon.
- This is no longer possible in the most current update.
Debug Screen
A pie chart has been added to this screen to display CPU usage.
Status Effects
- Status effects inflict positive or negative damage on either players or mobs.
- There's strength and duration:
- Strength boosts effects.
- Duration controls the time the player/mob is under the effect.

Bookshelves
When destroyed, bookshelves now drop 3 books instead of the block itself.
World Generation
Strongholds
Strongholds now have more randomly placed chests, along with 1x1 glass pillars protruding from ground level to the sky limit to show where they're located.
General
Experience Level
The player's level of experience is now listed above the experience bar.
Inventory
Tooltips for rare items (such as Golden Apples and Music Discs) are now pink.
Bug Fixes
A bug where Snow Golems were able to enter love mode has been fixed.
Reupload
A version of the update was re-released a few minutes after its initial release to remove some code relating to the Ender Dragon. This was possibly done to avoid leaking information, as the Ender Dragon had not yet been announced.
