Mitula emerges from the statue of Mitula (natch) at the back of the room. Seems logical. She picks the Ground Orb up, deposits it back into the statue like a quarter in a coin slot, and thanks the force for their work.

This is probably the biggest script change in the game and needs some explaining.
Dark Sol appeared in the first Shining Force, but Lucifer never appeared proper.
This is his only mention in the entire seires.
Dark Dragon was also in the first Shining Force game, but it was created by Dark Sol.
So, there's no way that it could have been one of the three demon kings.
This was translated correctly, so the change from Lucifer to Dark Dragon was deliberate.
