Gomoku is an ancient board game, devised by an unsung creator in long-ago China. Pente is a modern variant, devised by a dishwasher at a pizza place in 1977 Oklahoma.

Quintette simulates both, but avoids naming the one trademarked by Parker Brothers.

Unused Dialog Box

Ironically, the only obvious unimplemented feature is this dialog itself: it lacks a corresponding ALRT or DLOG resource to call the DITL information seen here in ResEdit. The horned Muppet-like creature also appears nowhere in-game.

Nearly identical dialogs exist in PGA Tour Golf, which shares Robert McNally as a programmer, and its 1994 sequel.
