Resident Evil 2 (PlayStation)/Backgrounds Differences
This is a sub-page of Resident Evil 2 (PlayStation).
The PAL European version and the Dual Shock Version of Resident Evil 2 changed some details in the backgrounds, and got rid of others, most likely due to their likeness with a popular brand of soda.
The PAL version was actually the first to be given this treatment and all subsequent ports used these new versions of the backgrounds (although for some reasons a couple are missing in the PC version).
The Dual Shock Version also has one new background, used for the ending of the new Extreme Battle mini-game.
