This page sucks.
If you could make it suck less, that would be awesome.

Unlike other bootlegs on the system, the Genesis Rockman X3 is based on the Saturn version rather than the SNES one.

Despite being glitchy and missing a number of things from the original game - including the armor pieces (you already have them from the start!), Zero, two of the levels, some bosses, and even the ending - it's pretty faithful to the original.

Leftover Graphics

Present from 0DB600-0EF5FF are various graphics from Omega Race and an unknown game.

Anti-Piracy

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: How is it triggered?

When trying to run the raw dump on an emulator, a "Decode Error" message will appear onscreen.

Oddities

Selecting Dr. Doppler's stage brings you to a modified version of Volt Catfish's stage. It's unknown if Dr. Doppler's stage was intended to be included in this port.

Version Differences

Hmmm...
To do:
Take a deep look at both versions.

A version of the game oddly titled X3X3X3X3 on the cover has slight differences, mainly the stage music.
