and again... i see the signs...
they surround me... reminding me... of something familiar...
i react... try to respond...
but all i get... are more signs...
and yet...
the only thing i was looking for...
is a new beginning.

Song of Bloom is a narrative puzzler game developed by Philipp Stollenmayer (Kamibox), in which players immerse themselves through many different artstyles and interactions, seeking asterisks and unraveling a story.

NOTE: Most of the things in this page take in consideration the iOS release of the game. Some things can still be found in the Android release, where they are specified accordingly.

Puzzles
I am starting to see things that are beyond my vision.

Early Hint

The file buds_v3\wobble_sheet.png contains an early texture for the hint to access the "Wobble" puzzle. It seems the player was required to simply wait after accessing the "Food" puzzle, rather than zooming out of the screen. It's also accompanied of a different clue; a protest picture, rather than a person holding a corn kernel.

Early Credits Graphics

--credits_sheet.png, --credits.png and --credits_2048.jpg are early versions of credits_2048h.jpg, which is the main graphic seen in the game's menu credits screen. Of these, --credits makes it explicit that it was used in a pre-release version of the game.

this is a pre-release
version for nice people
I would love your
feedback
The only thing in which --credits_2048.jpg differs
from the final version is the object placement.

Debugging Buttons

debug_resetbtn.png and debug_unlockbtn.png are two graphics meant for a debugging function meant to, according to their filenames and appearance, reset progress and unlock everything, respectively. These images are also present in the Android release.

Achim

achim.jpg is a picture of German actor Achim Mentzel. This video shows it being used as a placeholder texture. Other pictures of him can be found in cmplt, supertype and Bacon: The Game, while this same picture can also be found in Sticky Terms.

In the Android release of the game, this image still exists, but it's much tinier, being a measy 20x19.
