Soulcalibur IV is a tale of swords and souls. And boobs. And a single-player experience that was cut to kingdom come.

Unused Voice Clips

The entire cast has unused vocal clips for the item shop, including many related to the game's shop function. Apparently at one point it was going to be more complex, possibly akin to that of Soulcalibur III. The Narrator himself lost quite a bit of dialogue.

  • Game Over: There is no game over screen. The first is a revisit to the Soulcalibur III game over screen.
  • "Gauge Max": Odd because there isn't such a gauge for this to use. This may have been used for the Soul Gauge/Critical Finish system initially. The sequel, Soulcalibur V, does use a proper gauge for super moves.
  • Vs: Just a simple clip. Possibly meant to be used if the Narrator announced the fighters' names as in older games.
