Just so you guys know, it's possible to force the arranged mode into sound test mode. When you do you get a incomplete looking sound test screen. The screen is kinda smashed but all the music is where it should be and plays when you select it. I'm guessing it wasn't finished so they could sell more of those soundtracks in Japan. I no longer have the code to activate sound test in arrange mode tho.--Figaro (talk) 12:56, 28 June 2014 (EDT)

Nevermind, here's the code: Access Sound Test In Arranged Mode (Press Start At Arranged Mode Title Screen) D0059270 0800 + 80059286 0000 --Figaro (talk) 13:23, 28 June 2014 (EDT)
Late but does this code even work? I copy and pasted it into two of my old emulators of choice (epsxe and duckstation) and it never works, when I press start it just loops me on the load game option and boots up Original mode. EDIT: Nope, still doesn't work no matter what I try. Its a bogus code. Y'all should probably actually vet these codes before you post them. MightyKombat (talk) 02:10, 9 September 2021 (UTC)

Japanese PSN version

I have played the Japanese PSN version and I noticed some difference. At first I think it would be the same as the earlier version found on the Internet, but when I got my way to Block 3, I noticed that the fake walls cannot be destroyed by sub-weapons, much like the International releases, and ice walls are the same as earlier versions, can be destroyed by subs. The invulnerable time of Medusa boss after taking hits is longer than the earlier Japanese releases, but shorter than the International releases, oddly. The blood skeletons and eyeballs have points in the Japanese PSN version. I have been confusing whether there are some missing versions in Japanese releases before Japanese PSN version coming in the show.
