No offense man...

But um, I kinda didn't like you removing the funny bits from the Sonic CD wiki entry. I don't mean to start a fight but that bit of humor is what made me decide to contribute so eh. Just sayin'. I don't think there's a need to completely remove the funny bits from the Sonic CD entry. 'Course, if anyone else feels otherwise... // Foxhack 08:40, 10 May 2012 (EDT)

Did you misread the diffs? He actually added them, not removed them. At least, the two edits he made sure didn't delete any content from the page. --Xk-sig.png Xkeeper (talk) 11:00, 10 May 2012 (EDT)
See, THIS IS WHY I SHOULDN'T BE BROWSING THE WIKI AT 5 AM WHILE HALF ASLEEP. Carry on, brotha. -.-v // Foxhack 12:58, 10 May 2012 (EDT)

Sorry bout that, Fox. I don't really remember removing stuff from it, but yeah. I felt that it was kinda strange how the other images had music labels and the Tails one didn't. I did a little edit to the Sonic CD 2011 page as well noting how the Desert Dazzle image takes you to the Tails level select. Kinda like how the Tails image turns on Debug mode. That okay?

And hey its okay, we all make mistakes. And you seem like a decent guy so gimme a shout if I screw up along the away MightyKombat 14:11, 10 May 2012 (EDT)

Buu's Fury

That's nothing. I've also got some screenshots that have Videl's unused sprites. Glisp 16:47, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

I never noticed that thanks. But next time put it on my talk page. MightyKombat 10:17, 4 September 2012 (EDT)
There's a ton of Character modifier codes as well. I actually found most of them here: http://cheats.codetwink.com/gba/view/4862/ ::In addition to the characters listed, iirc, I think I heard you could get Android 18 to play as well though I can't find the youtube video with that master list anymore. Seems to have since been taken down. There's also some character modifier codes for the Euro version of Legacy of Goku II as well. However, they're less cool as they don't have "special non-playable" ones listed. I imagine the code between the games is a little different which is why more characters are playable even though they weren't intended to be, in Buu's Fury. Glisp 13:31, 4 September 2012 (EDT)

Oh oops. I keep forgetting to click the discussion button. No wonder it looked so weird! My apologies. Oh there's an anti-piracy measure btw. Glisp 23:12, 4 September 2012 (EDT)

Yeah I know of it. Ran into it once. MightyKombat 10:10, 5 September 2012 (EDT)

Legacy of Goku II Anti-Piracy

Anyway to get the anti-piracy messages to trigger in the US and Japanese versions? If you've found a way, please take some screenshots. Thanks! Also, I think the original Legacy of Goku and DBZ Taiketsu have similar anti-piracy checks. In fact, Ryon on MUGEN Freeforall couldn't get DBZ Taiketsu to work on an emulator until I helped him because of an anti-piracy routine. The Taiketsu one seems to also check for the save type which is the same as Buu's Fury apparently.Glisp 23:17, 4 September 2012 (EDT)

Well, I know how to circumvent it normally in VisualBoyAdvance. My LPS sometimes have a blurb in the video description telling people how to do it. I think if you don't have the vba-over.ini file it should show up. Also tell Ryon he has my sympathies for playing Taiketsu. MightyKombat 10:10, 5 September 2012 (EDT)
Yeah, Taiketsu's not a great DBZ game but it does have nice music and the stage backgrounds look pretty cool which is the main reason he was playing it, to rip the stage graphics. The other good part is that some of the character attacks are unique and not used by other games that often. (Frieza's Death Ball actually looks like it's supposed to. Not that stupid electro orb Bandai does but the miniature Sun thing like Cooler does in the Budokai series. There's also Frieza's Death Disc which I've only seen in Burst Limit. Oh and Android 16's self destruct.) Other than that though it sucks.

The AI is really dumb and easy to exploit (you can literally beat it by punishing it with repeated throws. As a kid, that's how I used to beat the game before I learned the special combinations.) and there's even more glitches than the Legacy of Goku series has. Though it was Webfoot's first fighting game technically so I can see why it was so bad. One of us should probably still look at Taiketsu for the anti-piracy measures for the sake of this wiki. Also, does the first Legacy of Goku have anti-piracy measures? I think I read somewhere it does. Glisp 14:11, 5 September 2012 (EDT)

I'll probably only look at Taiketsu for that. I can't stand its 3D-esque claylike graphics amongst other things. I agree the music's alright and I would kinda like Ryon to do the Lookout stage for mugen. I'll probably take one look at the piracy screen and that's it. Also LOG1 does indeed have an anti-piracy screen. And it also sucks. MightyKombat 14:20, 5 September 2012 (EDT)

I can't argue there with it sucking. Also, anything you find take screenshots. ;)Also, the Lookout stage is my favorite as well in Taiketsu. For a crappy game, that level was awesome. The music really helped though too of course. Glisp 14:39, 5 September 2012 (EDT)

Yeah, LOG1 was crap even for a game marketed to kids or for the first game. LOG2 and Buu's Fury were pretty good though. You can count on me to get what I can. Even if I don't want to. And yeah the Lookout was great and BRuce Falconer's music was fairly decent. MightyKombat 15:20, 5 September 2012 (EDT)

I actually ripped like 99% of the Legacy of Goku II soundtrack a while back. There's a few tracks I missed but now that I know about the debug menu, I may rerip the tracks, especially since I'm using VBA-M which emulates a lot better than standard VBA. I've also got the Buu's Fury soundtrack partially started as well. Would be pretty nice if someone redid Legacy of Goku to play like LGII and Buu's Fury though. I've actually thought about it but I'm not a great ROM hacker. Also, I found an old text file I had containing the character modifier codes.

Oh and I do have a Yahoo instant messenger account though I haven't used it lately because I've had like nobody to talk to. I'm also in TCRF's IRC channel a lot as well. Glisp 00:21, 7 September 2012 (EDT)

That sounds pretty cool. A remake of LOG1 would be awesome.

And I'll have to check out that IRC some time. MightyKombat 10:19, 7 September 2012 (EDT)

What's your thoughts on Dragonball GT Transformation? I personally thought it was okay gameplaywise (as far as Brawlers go anyway) but the story was a bit too shallow compared to the show (which isn't much better because Toei doesn't do very good writing on its own IMO.). The ending made me sad because there wasn't a sequel ever made yet they hinted they would after the credits as it shows Dr. Gero and Myuu making a deal in Hell/HFIL. I'd actually love to see a ROM hack of Buu's Fury that was based on GT. That would be kick ass but you'd also need ASM knowledge as that's the only way to disassemble the game unless you managed to get the source code from Webfoot technologies. (which is probably impossible.)

Oh btw, I have a present for you: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?8l943i5d23v5xae These are additional character modifier codes. They include extra move modifier slots and it also allows for Android 18. (she's highly unstable though) I managed to get these back in 2008 off of a youtube video that's no longer there. Have fun screwing around with these. It's a blast! ;) Also, I wonder if Uub and Kid Buu are stable... They seem to have enough animations but they don't seem to have any hex slots listed in the modifier codes. Feel free to look for them if you want. =)Glisp 11:17, 7 September 2012 (EDT)

GT Transformation's okay but it has some problems and kinda has the LOG series go out with a whizz instead of a bang. A sequel about the Super 17 saga or Shadow Dragons would be alright though. And yeah a Buu's Fury hack would be pretty good.

And thanks for the present. I might enjoy this. MightyKombat 11:32, 7 September 2012 (EDT)

O.O

As Glitter said, it was just a Q. because i didn't see anything related in the to-do list. In the other hand, you didn't give me an answer about the HKO´s. // Angus_Macgyver (talk 11:07, 6 Jan 2013 (EDT)

Sorry, and thank you both for the guidelines. Angus_Macgyver (talk 12:58, 6 January 2013 (EST)
I don't know what HKOs are myself. Sorry for the attitude, bit a of a habit towards schoolboy errors. MightyKombat 16:08, 6 January 2013 (EST)
Hong Kong Originals, or Chinese pirate knockoffs, apparently. Not to worry, but do try to err on the side of kindness and patience! --GlitterBerri 16:09, 6 January 2013 (EST)
Ah, so bootlegs in other words. Sorry about that. I'll keep that in mind. MightyKombat 19:18, 6 January 2013 (EST)
But are they bootlegs if they're original games? I'd rather call them... artistic reinterpretations. ;) // Foxhack 20:19, 6 January 2013 (EST)
How very philosophical. Could we call them unlicensed, maybe? I'd go for bootleg but, whatever happens happens.MightyKombat 14:30, 7 January 2013 (EST)
I would file them as Unlicensed as well; that's what we do on Sega Retro, at least - Andlabs 14:32, 7 January 2013 (EST)
Settled. We'll call them unlicensed knockoffs. Sound good guys? MightyKombat 14:33, 7 January 2013 (EST)
