I'm wondering if there may be more to this than a telephone ringing. Like if you can "answer" the phone by entering a button combo and some morse code will play? That may be a bit elaborate for the FDS (especially considering the quality of this game). Or maybe it's just telling you to unpause the game, I dunno. --Rabidabid 17:29, 23 July 2012 (EDT)

I think it's to warn that the console (and the TV) is still open, since leaving the console and the TV open for more than 20 mins can add ghosting marks to the TV. --PF94 (talk) 21:19, 20 December 2019 (EST) (yes, i'm 7 years late, i know)
