Notes

If somehow, another person owns a copy of this abortion and wants to help make the article, here's what i know:

Cancelled episodes

* The Fugitive
* Best Served Cold
* Tightening the Noose
* Sixty Feet Under
* Search and Rescue
* We the People

I doubt there'd be any assets for anything besides The Fugitive in the game, as Best Served Cold went into active development AFTER the final patch[1], and the rest were supposedly completed long after the game had been cancelled, according to the developers.

Cancelled character

According to Overkill staff on their OTWD discord, "Tanner" was to be the next character released. Considering how big a part he plays in Season 2's story, there might be some remnants of him left in the game.

Hello! Another user here: Finn was his last name, mentioned in one of the developer vlogs. In this Artstation submission, his head can be seen for Character Selection, and his item, the Gut Bucket, in another: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/9md4zv

Weapon Skins

Were in development prior to cancellation. From what i gather from the games .pak files, there might be some in there.

Valhalla Engine

The game went through 3 engines over the course of development; the Payday's Diesel Engine, the Valhalla Engine(Which was said to be incredibly unfinished and the main reason why the game went through Development hell), and Unreal Engine 4. Supposedly, the Vallhalla Engine is still in the game in some capacity, though it's unclear beyond it being a "plug in" for UE4. It's been theorized by Overkill fans that it may take care of the randomization of Zombie assets. Anyways, perhaps assests from that version of the game might still be in it's files.
