Galaga Stuff

TekkenPS1Galaga.png Several other graphics for Galaga still exist on the disc, even though only a portion of the game is used on the loading screen.

"To continue Galaga during the loading screen as many times as you wish, press SELECT whenever the screen shows "Number of Hits". If you score 40 ships the first round, the game will automatically go to the next level."

As Seen Here: https://youtu.be/_OWVKSH726U

It's a total of 8 Challenge Stages that you can go through in Tekken 1's Galaga Demo.

Unused animations possibly hidden in PS1 port?

In arcade TEKKEN.ROM lots of unused animations/moves can be found.

Specific memory addresses and values can be found in this file: https://tekkenzone.tripod.com/tekken1moves.txt Unused win poses look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtM3hrBr55w

The most interesting moves are Jacks's unnamed throw dealing 35 damage and Kuma's Bear Hug, these are discussed on this webpage: http://www.mamecheat.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12673

It would be cool if someone checked if all these unused animations and throws are still in PS1 port code.

If they're not, Tekken deserves a separate TCRF article specifically about arcade version.

For one, Kuma's Bear Hug is completely unused in arcade and when activated, instead of sound of breaking bones, the swoosh sound plays.

Also the arcade appears to have a few unused voice lines, like "VERSUS", "RAVE WAR", "LAW THE DRAGON" etc., I don't know if it's still a thing in PS1 port.
