"Tetris 3" title.

Come to think of it, the debug menu calling this game "Tetris 3" makes perfect sense.

AFAIK (and the ROM databases tell me), the original Tetris from Nintendo wasn't released in Japan. Instead, they had a different game, developed by Bullet-Proof Software.

BPS also released a Japan-only sequel, called "Tetris 2 + Bombliss", in 1991 -- two years before this one.

So, from that perspective, "Tetris 3" could have been a working title for the Japanese version of the game.
