Prototype pics
What about those pics? [1] [2] [3] Does anyone have some information about this deleted stuff? Interface, ordinator's armor models, completely different Vivec city. The last picture is the most strange: it features the interior never seen before and the shelves full of identical books, and they are arranged oddly. The pose of the merchant is also very odd. I'd think it's just a render, not a gameplay screenshot, but why does it have an interface? And the icons of the inventory items are completely different, why did they have to replace all of them? That's a shitload of work --SXAL (talk) 11:06, 9 March 2015 (EDT)
Unused GMSTs
OpenMW has documented several unused GMSTs . Among these are an indication that low fatigue was supposed to increase the cost of spells, several interface errors that are simply impossible to occur in the final game, Xbox leftovers, and a bizarre "You cannot sleep when dreaming." message. --Agiletek (talk) 16:18, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
the Splash screen situation
There's been a lot of debate about the unused Splash Screens. There's conflicting information about where they actually come from. Some sites say they come from the game data. I have scoured the game data and have yet to find them. I will double check Morrowind.bsa but the splash folder is installed to the game folder as an external folder which makes it unlikely there's a second one in Morrowind.bsa. Another note, some of the Splash screens were also noted to come from a developer posting them on Bethesda's website (notably the cliff racer, Steam Centurian, and Dusky Alit splash screens). As for the other splash screens that go unused (the Dreugh, Dremora, and Lesser Bonewalker) they're supposedly in the data (not the xbox hint screen versions. those are not what I am referring to. I am talking about the plain ones.) but once again I have found nothing in the data that points to them existing. Unless they're somehow unused in the Xbox version's morrowind.bsa (which I doubt) chances are these reports of these being in the data are all based on misconceptions from the fan base. I DO know that the unreleased splash screens Save for the Cliff Racer, Steam Centurian, and Dusky Alit ones, WERE distributed by bethesda as desktop wallpapers on their website, in addition to the used ones. For now, I suggest moving the unused splash screen section to Pre-Release for the time being until there is proof they are in the data somewhere. Glisp (talk) 17:47, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
