About Development Room and something useful info

First of all,I'm so sorry of my poor English.I'm just a Chinese senior high school student. These are some evidence that there actually had a development room in game.Both Original Version("Old version") and New Version.("Old"run on PC-98 as Japanese version and run on DOS as Tradional Chinese Version which released in Taiwan,and same year been imported to China by Hangzhou Jingtian. New Version just the Windows Version,have Japanese,Tradional Chinese and Simple Chinese languages to choose)[Warn:SimpChinese version use SecuROM and released in 2007,after the Taiwan version released in 2000]

I just remember that I had actually see a screenshot that showed the DEV ROOM in Old Version(Tradional Chinese) and New version(Simp Chinese) on Weibo.But I can't find the screenshot today.Maybe been deleted.But when I saw the screenshot at that time,I remember I surely asked him the way to the room,and he just send me a link,the"tutorial link".

But because of the cencership,you maybe need to have a Chinese Phone Number to talk with him.may be a non-chinese don't have to use phone number to register an account. As his weibo page,He May be can use Japanese and you may can use japanese to communicate with him.May be English is OK.

Some technical infomations

The Original Version run on PC-98.Not a problem to emulate it but you can Hard to modity the save file because the HDD file is just an .hdi file.It's japanese and font will be a problem,may be you need a font BMP file such as"Anex86.BMP"in order to show the "Japanese Chinese Font",Chinese as "日本汉字". The Chinese Old Version run on PC-DOS.but if you run it from DOS,it will have Sound Problem.To Fix it,Run it from Windows 3.1 or 3.2. You can change the game speed by modify the program"NONE.COM"."CDDRV.COM"is for music,"NONE.COM"is for timer.Both "CDDRV"and"NONE"can be used in all The legend of heroes games.(Only those DOS Title) You can easyly modify the save file of the DOS Chinese version using WinHEX,but it seems nobody successful.

As the Taiwan Chinese DOS Version is based on PC-98 Version,so everything has saved,but there are also something hidden thing won't work in Chinese Version or Korean Version,such as the "speed hack"I called in The Legend of Heroes IV(Old version),It worked perfectly if you use PC-98 version,but it won't work in Chinese Version----To use this speed hack,you need to make you character face to the Scarecrow at the Game just Start the prologue,use the "卡貝沙"in TChinese version or"カベツサ"in japanese version ,you can hear a beep ,then,you just press "KANA"button on your keyboard,you can enjoy the fast like a car.BUT------There is not "KANA"on non-japanese keyboard isn't it? So it won't work in Chinese Version and Korean Version,beacuse the keyboard don't have the "KANA"Button.

At Last,because the Legend of Heroes III is Auto battle,so I don't know why my battle will failed even my character has the best epuipment.So I can't even play the game to the Chapter 2,just stuck these.now the problem fixed by boot the game through windows3.1.but it's be over 3 years after i stuck,I'm busy for my study now. I hope these things will help you.It's so long but there is something useful,right?
