Extracting the .DAT files

I did the insane thing of extracting the entire san_francisco.dat file. It took over an hour, and I can't even open most of the files. I'm stumped at how to open model files, the furthest I've gotten is converting RML to XML using Gibbed.Disrupt tools, and converting XBT to DDS using RunGUI. Aside from that, I had a good look around common.dat. There's configs that mention a debug mode, no idea if its possible to enable that. Going to do san_francisco_sound.dat next. New to TCRF so I hope I can help in some way. --Banement (talk) 18:56, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Possibly found a secret referring to dataminers in the model files. Using a hex editor and looking near the bottom of each model, there is the text "TCRF", or hex 54 43 52 46. It's the same for all the .hkx files I've looked at. --Banement (talk)

Unused tracks

I've identified one previously-unknown track as a song from Extreme Music and added it to the section on unused music. It's possible that there are other songs from the same stock library too (might've been placeholders from before they got all the licensed tracks, but I'm only guessing there). --MD678685 (talk) 02:20, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

I've got a match on another one, previosly known as "Unidentified Dance Song 1" is "Fist Full Of Money by Nicholas Patrick Kingsley (writer) and James Donald Davies (performer). JustSomeGamer (talk) 11:18, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

Possible uses of cut content in DLCs

A lot of assets from the cut mission "Hollow Pundits" that had a big emphasis on WKZ might be used in the DLC mission "Automata". In the final part of the mission, you steal a fully self-driving car from the WKZ headquarters. JustSomeGamer (talk) 11:41, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
