Hmmm...
To do:
Prototypes in the form of early access versions.
Cactus 2.0!
This article has just been started and needs the article basics added.
Help us out and add them.
Careful, you'll lose an eye.
This page or section needs more images.
There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.

The Escapists is a story where you escape several prisons, never actually knowing why you were incarcerated in the first place.

Unused Items

Yellow Keys

These items are "sold" by Glitch 66 (see below). They have no info, cannot unlock any doors, and are considered contraband. In short, you probably shouldn't carry these around.

Die

Though it can be seen in the DLC, the die is not obtainable by normal means. As said, it's found in some DLC by taking a "find this" task, but as the task is completed after clicking it, it can still not be obtained normally. It is not contraband.

Worms Game

This item is like the die: It can only be seen in tasks. The only difference is that you don't need DLC to see it.

Dirty Henchman suit/Tuxedo

In the DLC Duck Tapes are Forever, there are these unused items. Maybe DTAF was meant to have a laundry job.

Unused Text

In the text file, the game only recognizes one response when an inmate is given a very big gift (e.g. Penarium Barrel). However, there are actually 6 responses, but only the first one is used due to the "Count=" value being set to 1 rather than 6.

[Gift_3]
Count=1
1=Are you serious?? Thanks!
2=Wow thanks!
3=Awesome!!
4=OMG thank you!
5=Really?! Wow!
6=Oh my!! Cheers!

Regional Differences

Hmmm...
To do:
There's more

The amount of dialogue options in non-English languages varies a lot from the English version. The French version will be used as an example.

OnDesk

English International/French
[OnDesk]
Count=3
1=Get off that table!
2=Get down from there
3=Oi! Get down!
[OnDesk]
Count=1
1=Descendre!

DropIt

English International/French
[DropIt]
Count=2
1=Drop it!
2=Put that down!
[DropIt]
Count=1
1=Lâche-ça !

Free Movement

If you get knocked out at precisely 6:00 PM in HMP Irongate, when you wake up, you can move freely. This, obviously, makes HMP Irongate (the hardest prison) extremely easy.

Oddities

Glitch 66

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.

Glitch 66 (or called Glitch 64) is an Easter egg. They can change names and sell items for free, including the unused yellow keys item. It replaces an inmate for one day, and sometimes changes their name afterwards.
