Hidden Configuration Options

In the Configuration Menu, set Music Select to 13 and Sound Select to 24. Highlight Exit and press A, B, C to enter a hidden menu with a level select (the level select option in the main configuration menu is actually a difficulty toggle) and a lives toggle.

Disabled Options

Game Genie code AD9T-EAH9 adds 2 additional options to the menu. Judge is an invulnerability toggle and Throwing Knife makes the knife weapon throwable.

Test Mode

Enable Game Genie code ALKT-AAFD for the US version or ALLT-AAFX for the Japanese version, then enter the Hidden Configuration Options code described above. Once in the menu, highlight Exit and press A x9, B, C, B, A, B, C, B, A, C, A, C, B, A, C, C, A, A, C, B, B, C, C to access a "message test" screen. Press A/B to toggle the "message" to play and C to play it.

"D.HISAYA" is programmer Daikoku Hisaya.

Note, this is not actually a game messages test. This is a collection of random voice samples with main theme "FUCK YOU ASSHOLE!". No one obviously appears in the game all are some kind of developer messages.
