MOST EXCELLENT, DUDE!

Hidden Cheats

There are two hidden codes. One activates a level select/sound test, while the other shows the game's credits.

Level Select

Radical!

On the title screen, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right, Start. A menu will appear allowing you to skip stages, view cutscenes, and listen to music and sound effects.

Credits

Totally bogus!

On the title screen, press Right, Left, Left, Right, Up, Down, Down, Up on Controller 2, and then press Start on Controller 1.

Judging by the way the scrolling credits mess up the bottom of the title logo and that the last credit is "PRESENTED BY AICOM", it's likely that Jaleco USA was completely oblivious to this code's existence.

(The game was originally released in Japan as Magic John with different graphics and Japanese text; the credits look fine there because the logo is smaller and positioned higher on the screen.)
