From The Cutting Room Floor
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This is a sub-page of Tsioque.

In summary, several translations were added, bugfixes were applied and one minigame was adjusted.

This page lists revisional differences between the versions that were released for Windows on Steam.

Ver. 1.2.0 Tsioque-options-120.png Tsioque-translation-credits-120.png

On the options screen, icons for newly supported languages were added and the monetization permission tooltip was moved slightly.

Credits for newly supported languages were added to the ending cinematic.

Quitting

Ver. 1.0.6 hotfix Ver. 1.1.3
Tsioque-quitting-106.png Tsioque-quitting-113.png

The Spanish, Russian and Chinese language replaced their generic icon on Ver. 1.1.2 and the German language replaced it on Ver. 1.1.3.

Prison

Plate

Ver. 1.0.6 hotfix Ver. 1.1.3
Tsioque-room1-plate-106.png Tsioque-room1-plate-113.png

The plate was made to shine a bit more on its edge.

Additionally, a subtle white circle will shine on the plate occasionally as a hint to the player that he has to interact with it to progress.

Guard's Second Reaction

Ver. 1.0.6 hotfix Ver. 1.1.3

A new animation was added when Tsioque drops her medallion on the plate a second time. In the previous version, the first reaction is re-used.

Also, when the guard's animation ends, he will not abruptly turn his head anymore.

Elevator Room

Tsioque-elevator-room-fail-spiderweb-113.png

Since Ver. 1.1.3, it is now possible to use the sticky spiderweb on the guard when he grabs your feet. Doing so will make a splat sound effect and result in this unique fail sequence.

Tower Chase Minigame

Because of the players' criticism that the tower chase minigame was too long and too difficult, the developers decided to shorten it in Ver. 1.1.5 by about 50 seconds. The buttons you have to click won't move over the screen too fast anymore and won't be too small.

Ver. 1.0.6 hotfix Ver. 1.1.5

A shorter music track has been added. Interestingly, the new music track is not normalized and therefore slightly quieter.

Ver. 1.0.6 hotfix Ver. 1.1.5

While the original version had seven checkpoints, the new version only has two.

"to save our kingdom, is my duty".
Very soon she sets out into battle,
the royal child stays at home saddened.
The word "das" was removed but the comma was kept which makes the sentence grammatically incorrect. The original version makes perfect sense but the developer probably wanted to squeeze the text.

Only one of them had evil in mind,
for he wants to harm the precious queen.
The word "ängstlichen" was corrected to "ängstlichem" which makes much more sense in the German language. The second line was squeezed. Spaces were added after "Untertanen" and "denn" was added in the fourth line.

The second line was squeezed. A comma was removed. "finsterer", an adjective, was added.

The first line was squeezed and "Imp" was changed to "Wichtel".

Additionally, not depicted here, Ver. 1.2.0 squeezed one line on page 10 of the intro in the German translation.

In the intro pages, the interlude pages and the ending pages, the Russian translation that was added in Ver. 1.1.0 had its text aligned to the left which was changed in Ver. 1.2.0 to make it aligned to the center. Also:

Further Changes

Ver. 1.2.1 - June 25, 2019

Steam announcement

  • Japanese translation updated.
  • Bug fixes.

It is currently not known what bugs were fixed in this version.

The quit button.

Ver. 1.2.0 - April 12, 2019

Steam announcement

  • New features:
    • A quit button was added which appears while playing and hovering your mouse-cursor over the top-right corner of the screen. Even though the patch notes say that this was added in Ver. 1.2.1, it was actually added in this version.
    • New languages added: Italian, French, Portuguese-Brazil, Japanese.
  • Spanish translation updated.
  • When deleting your progress, the German, Spanish and Russian translations no longer use an equivalent of "Are you sure that you want to delete your progress?" and instead resort to using "Are you sure?" like the other translations, therefore rendering the elaborate version unused.
  • Bug fixes (According to the developers, two game-breaking bugs and 10+ smaller bugs were fixed):
    • A game-breaking bug was fixed where your coins would be gone after the guard near the top of the tower starts chasing you. Instead, when continuing, the game will behave as if the stairs mini-game had already been cleared. This was also possible in Ver. 1.1.2. and prior albeit with a different timing when to quit.

Ver. 1.1.5 - February 21, 2019

Steam announcement

  • This version shortened the tower chase minigame by about 50 seconds due to the players' feedback.
  • Bugfixes.
  • The bug where the game started up with the Chinese language by default on some systems was fixed.

Ver. 1.1.4 - February 08, 2019

Steam announcement

  • Bugfixes.
    • A softlock was fixed that happened when using an incompatible item with the cup inside the slime and then on a portrait on the wall right after.
  • One bug was introduced where on some systems, the game would start up with the Chinese language by default.

Ver. 1.1.3 - December 13, 2018

Steam announcement

  • Improvements in translations:
    • When quitting in the main menu, the generic quit icon has been replaced by translated text on the German language setting.
  • This version added new animations and improved existing ones.
  • Bug fixes.
    • When quitting on the screen after using the mirror on the wizard, and then resuming, the correct music will be played instead of the title screen music still running.
    • Fixed issues with the kitchen desk if all three tea cups were collected and the game was saved and resumed while viewing the kitchen desk.

Ver. 1.1.2 - November 28, 2018

Steam announcement

  • Improvements in translations:
    • When quitting in the main menu, the generic quit icon has been replaced by translated text on the Russian, Spanish and Chinese language setting.
  • Bug fixes (according to the developers, 20 bugs were fixed):
    • In the mirror room, closing a book no longer assumes a hand mouse cursor until you hover over something else. Instead the mouse cursor will be normal.
    • In the huge spiderweb, quitting right after clicking on the wooden wheel will not render the wooden wheel unobtainable anymore. However, the sticky spiderweb that comes with it will still be unobtainable from this version onward at least until Ver. 1.2.1.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug that caused the wooden sticks to be gone if you quit after clicking on the first one.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug where one wooden stick would be gone if you quit after picking up the first one after climbing up from the spiderweb.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug where your carrot would be gone if you use it on the barrel with tar and quit while the carrot is outside your inventory.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug where the sticky spiderweb would be gone if you quit after using it on the guard's feet in the tower.
    • Fixed a bug where the inventory bag would become stuck if you quit while dropping a second coin on the stairs near the top of the tower.
    • Fixed a soft-lock in the late game when clicking on the telephone and keeping your menu opened.
    • After the cutscene where the wizard sticks earplugs in his ears, after dropping the chandelier on the guard's feet, if you quit as soon as the guard chases you your coins would be gone and the game would be unwinnable. This version didn't fix the issue but instead causes your inventory bag to become stuck until you pick up a new item. This behavior would change in Ver. 1.2.0.
    • Fixed a bug that allowed you to interrupt the picking up of the mace inside the dragon's stomach by clicking on the fluids, causing the mace to become unobtainable until you quit and resume.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug that causes the cup inside the slime to become unobtainable when using the sieve on it and quitting right after it leaves your inventory.
    • Fixed a bug where picking up the explosive pebbles and then walking towards the fridge allowed you to click on the fridge again, making you arrive there abruptly.
    • In this version and onward, when Tsioque finds the little black button in the washing machine, quitting while she holds it in the air and resuming will cause the inventory bag to become stuck until you obtain another item.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug where you lost your mirror, the inventory became invisible and the throne couldn't be clicked on anymore, when quitting while running away from the wizard on the screen after using the mirror.

Ver. 1.1.0 - November 22, 2018

Although the version number is identical to the previous version, the game files are not.

  • Russian translation updated.
  • Bug fixes:
    • Fixed a bug where your potion would be gone if you use it on the wizard's mug and then quit and continue. As a note, prior to this version, encountering this bug would not render the game unwinnable as the player can still click on the medallion to progress.
    • Fixed a bug that lets you keep the explosive pebbles if you quit right after using them on the slime. The game softlocked when using them on the wizard.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug where your mirror will be gone if you use it to reflect the wizard's shot, then run away and quit right after.

Ver. 1.1.0 - November 21, 2018

Steam announcement

  • New features:
    • New languages added: Chinese, Spanish, Russian.
  • Gameplay change:
    • Prior to this version, the mace would only remain on the floor after escaping the dragon if the zebra was not freed yet. This version changed that so the mace will always remain on the floor, making it significantly easier to find an achievement that requires the mace later on.
  • Bug fixes:
    • In the very first room, when quitting right after clicking on Tsioque, your inventory bag will no longer be invisible.
    • During the wall sneaking mini-game, pressing right-click won't make an inventory sound.
    • When standing in front of the fairy, pressing right-click won't make an inventory sound.
    • When going in-game and then returning to the main menu, pressing right-click won't make an inventory sound.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug where the blanket of invisibility will be gone if you quit right after clicking on Tsioque when she lies on the floor at the tomb.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug where your blanket of invisibility will be gone if you quit right after using it in the beginning stairs room.
    • Fixed a game-breaking bug where the cat would not appear in the pantry if you quit right when it breaks out of the barrel in the guard room.
    • Fixed a bug that caused a softlock if you interacted with the top part of the dragon's stomach right after using the bubble maker on the fluids.
  • Added the ability to press Escape to open the "Are you sure?" window on the title screen.
The bug on the 6th intro page.

Ver. 1.0.5 - November 07, 2018

Steam announcement

This is the first game version that was made available to the public.

Preceding Version

Steam announcement

Not much is known about game versions prior to Ver. 1.0.5 but presumably there was at least one version before the official release which was only available to a select group of people such as Steam curators.

Along with the announcement of this version, the addition of new languages (Chinese, Spanish, Russian) was announced for an upcoming version.

  • New features:
    • New language added: German.
