VR Troopers tried to cash in on its less-popular-than-Power Rangers status by being less good than Mortal Kombat.

Unused Characters

Skug

VRT Skug.png

Although featured on the back of the game's box in a screenshot all by itself, the lone Skug is unplayable in 1-on-1 fights, and for good reason - being knocked over or thrown results in a softlock, as shown in the image.

The Skug only has three attacks (a punch, an air punch, and an air kick) and unique running and retreating animations that are rarely seen in normal gameplay.

Additionally, the Skug has a unique information box (normally used for displaying the three special moves a character has) that is never seen in-game. Notable because it includes a stats section, although that section is blank.

Kamelion

The game's Shang Tsung expy. Kamelion can be played as a boss character, but has only five actions usable. Pressing A is a dash attack, pressing C is a different dash attack, and pressing B randomly transforms him into one of the normally playable characters, and after a short period he will transform back.

Kamelion uses his normal single-player info box, only stating that his special moves are unknown.

Unused Sounds

All of these are present in the game's sound test, but aren't actually used in-game. Listed by their name in the sound test.

GRUNT

AAAH1

AAAH2

AAAH3

JEB3

Jeb saying "Thar she blows!"

VEEEE ARRRRR
Part of the show's theme, unused due to syncing issues that exist with the one sample that is used anyway.

SKUGS!
Part of a music track, though clearly it would've been for the Skugs.

BLANK
There are several selections in the sound test that are simply blank. They play no sound, to be expected.
