Revisional Differences

A Special Edition was released exclusively in Europe.

  • Inclusion of three tracks from WipEout and five from WipEout 2097/XL.
  • Inclusion of the secret prototype tracks from the Japanese version.
  • Reworked vehicle physics and enemy AI.
  • Stat buffs for the Assegai and Icaras crafts.
  • Added auto-load feature and asks for confirmation before overwriting save data.
  • Added support for the Link Cable, enabling four-player matches.

Regional Differences

  • The Japanese version has two exclusive tracks: LS105/GP02 and LS106/GP73, which are prototype tracks.
  • The vehicle handling and physics differ between each version: The European version's physics are less floaty compared the US version, and the Japanese version builds on the US version's floaty physics.
