World Rally is a spiritual successor to a racing game that was named after legendary rally driver Carlos Sainz that itself is an isometric rally game involving (different generations of) a Toyota Celica GT-Four. It was cloned by other developers and was even ripped off.

Located next to the Gaelco logo, this early Presents graphic was originally going to be used in the opening. This was replaced by the Arial font in the final.

An unused Carlos Sainz's signature is located where the font during the attract mode where the notes are taken. He would have given the advice over the courses.
