Zip Zap is a simple puzzle game that revolves around guiding mechanical gadgets to a goal point, which is apparently their "home".

Unused Graphics

NOTE: All of these take in consideration the folder assets\tex.

Title Screen

logo_small.png is a stylized variant of the game's logo, which can be seen in promotional material. For the final game, these decorations were removed.

blurred4.png is an unused variation of the mechanical piece graphic as it appears in the options and level select menus. It noticeably still has holes, which are absent from the used one.

rings.png and rings_centered.png are early variations of the ring graphics used for indicating how much a pivot can be rotated. While the final graphic uses a simple dot for the smallest rotation value, it is otherwise identical as the latter unused one.

ball.2.png and ball_mirror.png are unused graphics for the ball object seen in some of the game's levels. They indicate that it was originally going to have some level of shininess.

Tutorial Signs

Early variations of the tutorial signs used in the game's first levels can be found as well. They are in a single layer, whereas the final game uses separate graphics for each of the objects.

Unused Level Backgrounds

The folder levelbg contains several unused graphics that are never called in-game. Given the folder's name, they were meant to be background decorations.

Other

turnphone.png and turnphone_shadow.png are graphics for a prompt that, judging by their name and apperance, was likely meant to be displayed in World 8, since that, starting from there, the levels are played with the phone in landscape mode. However, no such thing ever appears in the final game.

Unused Sounds/Music

NOTE: All of these take in consideration the folder assets\audio.

Landscape Levels

landscape_music_short.ogg is an unused shorter variation of the background music used for Worlds 8 and 9, which use landscape orientation rather than portrait.

Glow

strings.ogg, choral.ogg and glow.ogg are early variations for the sound that plays when a piece is on top of a goal point. The final game uses glow2.ogg.
