The Genesis port of Sega's classic arcade brawler. They didn't forget the voice clips, people.

Most famous for being the original pack-in title for the Genesis. As detailed elsewhere, the Genesis initially had a rocky Japanese launch as the initial 1988 lineup — including Altered Beast — gave an underwhelming impression of the console. In 1991, Altered Beast would later be replaced with Sonic the Hedgehog as the pack-in title. It has since been rereleased across several compilations alongside the Blue Blur.
