Revisional Differences

Bubble Bath Babes was originally titled Soap Panic, being commissioned by Hacker International in Japan through Taiwanese developer C&E. It was later modified and released in the United States by Taiwanese company Panesian as Bubble Bath Babes. Later, C&E released the game themselves with modifications as Magic Bubble. This version was later modified by American Video Entertainment as Mermaids of Atlantis: The Riddle of the Magic Bubble.

Besides title and company differences, only one bubble flies around the screen in both Soap Panic and Bubble Bath Babes. A second bubble was added in Magic Bubble and the screen was entirely redone in Mermaids of Atlantis: The Riddle of the Magic Bubble.

In Magic Bubble, soap is added to the woman's chest to cover her breasts. The bezel's color palette has also been changed from blue to yellow. This change is retained in Mermaids of Atlantis.

Staff Roll

Soap Panic, Bubble Bath Babes and Soap Panic all share the same credit screen. Mermaids of Atlantis adds surnames to each developer, as well as lists the name of the 3rd BGM added. Mermaids of Atlantis also adds a second credits screen for the American Video Entertainment staff.
