Bust a Move 2: Dance Tengoku Mix is a Japan-only arcade port of the PlayStation game.

Test Mode

Booting the game with the Service Mode DIP switch enabled allows the player to access a test mode different from the standard operator menu. Pressing 1P Rhythm enters a function, while 1P Jammar exits it. They are as follows:

  • BlackFill - Displays a black background.
  • VideoLevel - Displays a white square on the center of the screen.
  • ColorBar - Displays a color bar.
  • Hach Test - Displays a grid.
  • Transparency - Displays a transparent white square on top of a gradient.
  • 24bitGradation - Renders a gradient on screen.
  • Ball Sample - Displays moving balls. Only one is displayed initially, but can be altered using 1P Up and 1P Down. The maximum number of balls that can be displayed is 3999.
  • Sound Check - Plays a low humming sound on both speakers, then only on the left speaker, then only on the right speaker. Afterwards, the player is returned to the test menu.
