This is a sub-page of Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Unused Weapons

M4

Seen in a promotional poster, but nowhere in the actual game. An early menu icon remains. May have been outright replaced by the M27, due to its similarity; it even uses the M27's sounds. Both weapons were usable in the Greenlight prototype.

It is loaded in the third part of the campaign mission "Cordis Die", and can be obtained using the command "give m4_sp". The weapon is clearly unfinished and appears the same as it did in the Greenlight prototype.

Severed Head

Present in the files for Mob of the Dead is a model for Richtofen's severed head, with working animations. It was unknown what this head was used for, until prototype builds of the game leaked in February 2025, showing that this was used for the also scrapped gamemode, "Meat" [1] [2]

One-Handed M1911

In the third part of the mission "Suffer With Me", using the command "give m1911_1handed_sp", you can give yourself a version of the M1911 that you hold with only one hand. It lacks any animations outside of the firing animation and it's unknown why a weapon like this exists but could have been originally used in the outro cutscene when Woods pulls out an M1911 before getting his kneecaps blown off by Menendez.

Semi-Auto B23R

In both parts of the mission "Karma", there is a version of the B23R that you can give yourself using the command "give beretta93r_sf_sp" that functions that exact same as the normal B23R except fires in Semi-Auto instead of a burst fire and has very low damage. In the second part of the mission, the guard that Harper talks to can drop this weapon sometimes when killed. There is a version of the B23R firing sound in the files that has a singular firing sound which might imply that the B23R could have been originally Semi-Auto in the campaign.

NS2000

An unused shotgun that can be given using the command "give ns2000_sp". It reuses the KSG model and it's animations as a placeholder.
The firing sound uses the regular shotgun sound that the SPAS-12 and the M1216 use instead of the KSG firing sound and it fires a buckshot spread instead of slugs. It was also usable in the Greenlight prototype, with an unfinished model and Black Ops 1 China Lake animations.

Cut Weapons

XM25

The XM25, featured in Modern Warfare 3, has an unused Create-a-Class icon and a text string to buy it in Zombies. It was usable in the Greenlight prototype.

DTSRS

A scrapped sniper rifle. Two versions of its menu icon, one large and one small, remain. Probably replaced by the DSR-50. It can be used in the "Greenlight" prototype.

RX4 Storm

The RX4 Storm (also known as "MR1" in real life) is a cut semi-automatic rifle. A menu icon and a HUD icon remain. It was usable in the Greenlight prototype.
