After previously changing up the beat 'em up genre a bit, Capcom now does it with the fighting game genre so that instead of dudes slapping their meat around, it's a variety of cool-looking mechs with the pilots as cosmetics. This game became obscure with the time but it's yet another example of how Capcom used to try new stuff back then.

Regional Differences

Hmmm...
To do:
In typical Capcom tradition, the characters have multiple 2-Player match victory quotes in the Japanese version but only one in the international versions, list them and translate them.
Cacti speak Japanese.
...But what does it mean?
This game has text or audio that needs to be translated. If you are fluent with this language, please read our translation guidelines and then submit a translation!

In the Japanese version, some of the characters' victory quotes when winning a 2-Player match have voice-acted sounds accompanying the text. Some of these don't appear in the game at all, leaving the sounds unused.
