Darius Alpha is a special "boss rush" version of Darius Plus. To get it, you had to buy Darius Plus or Super Darius, mail in a proof of purchase provided in either game, and be one of the lucky 800 people chosen to win it between September 21, 1990 and November 16, 1990. As such, it's one of the rarest games for the PC Engine.
