This page details development materials of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - The Definitive Edition unintentionally included material related to the original game's development, including uncompiled mission scripts and other materials.

Hmmm...

Early Mission Descriptions

Many of the individual mission scripts contain a brief summary which sometimes reflects an earlier version of said mission.

assin1.sc - Road Kill

Describes the target as driving a van instead of the Pizza Boy bike.

count2.sc - Hit the Courier

No mention of the courier arriving to the docks in a helicopter. The courier is also a she, not a he.

cuban3.sc - Naval Engagement

Seems to have played out differently. In the final mission, you are taken to interrupt a deal and steal the merchandise on Starfish Island. An NPC takes you to the spot in a boat, and stationary enemy boats are parked at the spot, but no chase occurs.

general5.sc - All Hands on Deck

Final mission plays out mostly the same, but the attackers do not follow the boat on land or jump on it from above.

The description also mentions the "Shining Path Rebels" as the possible attackers instead of the French. Shining Path was a real Communist guerilla group in Peru that was particularly active in the 1980s.

///////////////////////////////// Defend the General's Yacht / All Hands on Deck //////////
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
///// The General has had enough of the heat and wants out of Miami. When the player ///
///// arrives at the contact point the General will start moving his yacht out to sea. ///
///// The <Shining Path Rebels?> chose this moment to launch an all out attack on the ///
///// yacht. The player1 must stay up on deck with an M-16 defending the boat from the ///
///// attackers. They'll be closing in in boats, helicopters, following on land in cars ///
///// On foot, jumping from bridges as the yacht passes underneath. The player1 must ///
///// hold them off till the General is far enough out to sea to make a clean getaway. ///
///// Then the player1 will get back to land using the General's personal launch. ///

rock4.sc

A fourth mission for Love Fist, simply given the title of "The Concert". Only one string of text is included, suggesting that the stalker survived the earlier encounter.

Go and deal with the psycho stalking the band, make sure you finsh the job this time!

The Script has commented out a cutscene template and the cab driver ped was probably used as a placeholder.
A video below shows a recreation of the cut mission using the leaked script.

serg1.sc - Four Iron

Of particular note is that in these early materials, Avery Carrington was called Sergio. This particular script also contains a note from one of the developers at Grove Street Games, with "3master" being the internal name for the Definitive Edition.

serg2.sc - Two Bit Hit

As noted in the file and confirmed by the remaster dev, this is actually the third Avery mission and not the second.
