Disney's Toontown Online/Unused Models

This is a sub-page of Disney's Toontown Online.

Hmmm...
To do:
Retake the pictures with a computer not using Intel integrated Graphics (the textures can glitch, look at Castle House picture).
  • There's also more models;
    • A beige variant of the regular Toon Houses at Estates, final uses "HouseBW" to distinguish them via colors.
  • phase 3.5
    • Earlier generic interior? (toon_interior.bam)
    • Alternate facade textures? (facadeN)
  • phase 4
    • Scrapped Mercantile building (mercantile.bam)
    • Earlier Trolley Station (trolley_station.bam)
  • phase 5.5
    • planterB, planterD, scrapped alternate Gardening plant pot items (phase_5.5). Can be seen in the "features-garden" membership benefit image. There's also an unused "sack" object.
    • Earlier window views; Garden1, GardenB.
  • phase 11
    • LB_BossCog - duplicate CJ Boss?

Arranged via Phase File for easier organization.

Debug Leftovers

In models/misc and models/props, The developers apparently forgot to remove some development models.

phase_4

Trolley Tracks Leftover

Located in Phase_4, a leftover from the Trolley Tracks game can be found, which was later removed in May 2012.

Early Cog Building

Found within models/modules, is an earlier model of a Cashbot Cog Building called suit_landmark_money2.bam, despite the finalized models being found in phase_4. According to the source code leak, This is actually one of the earliest leftovers.

Cigar

An unused model of a cigarette cigar.bam, intended for the Cigar Smoke attack by Cogs. Though it was removed for obivous reasons, the Pool Shark's design has a cigarette in its mouth.

TTO UnusedCigar.png

Gavel

A model with a gavel (gavel.bam) with a punching glove inside.

This gavel model was thought to have been meant to be used as a Gag for quite a while, but Cog Attack design document leaks alongside commented attack source code being available imply that the prop was actually meant to be used for a signature Big Wig attack simply known as "Gavel", in which the Big Wig would hold out a gavel and the glove would extend to punch the toon. The gavel attack code is commented out of the source code, defaulting to Finger Wag instead.

In comparison to other unused Cog attacks in the final game's files (as well as earlier developmental leaks), this one has no corresponding animation for Cogs to use it, suggesting that the attack had been scrapped before an animation had been made for it.

Scrapped Legal Eagle Field Office Leftovers

Hmmm...
To do:
Make this into a section on the main page if any functions remain.

In models/cogdominiums, tons of leftovers can be found relating to scrapped Lawbot Field Offices.

phase_5.5

Scrapped Houses

Found in models/estate are unused alternate models for what were likely supposed to be interchangeable exterior houses for the Estate, which were added in circa sv1.0.40.10.test, and added into the Open Server, but were never implemented into the final game. The models, however, were added to the regular client files. Each model is named tt_m_ara_est_house_*.bam, except for the Rustic House which is simply named houseB.bam.

The last one was the original house model that were used for when Estates were first released and used in two of the Goofy Speedway racetracks.

Early Wildflower Garden Window View

There are some early Wildflower Garden Window View designs found in models/estate. Garden1.bam appears to be a first draft, hence the model being displayed from behind by default and being too big for the Window frames. On the other hand, GardenB.bam and GardenB2.bam looks to be part of a scrapped Window View design.

phase_9

BotCam

An unusual-looking camera likely intended for a sort of security system at the Sellbot Towers, coming with two animations. It was probably removed because it contrasted too much with the dull setting of the Cog Headquarters.

SellbotHqCamera.png

BotFoot

Hmmm...
To do:
retake this gif in a smaller size.

Contained in Sellbot HQ's files (phase 9) is a model that resembles a Goon's foot that bears the Sellbot logo on its sole. Given that it only possesses animations for kicking BotFoot-kick.bam, it's likely it would have been used to physically kick Toons out of Sellbot Towers if they tried to go in without their Cog suit[footnote 1][1], but in the final game the player is told that they need a disguise through a simple pop up.

phase_12

bossbotBoss-legs-zero

Hmmm...
To do:
Make a mockup out of this?

A custom set of conveyor legs was made for the Chief Executive Officer, but was scrapped and he was given the generic tank vehicle like with the other Cog Bosses.

phase_13

partyMerryGoRound

There was going to be a merry-go-round for Toon parties that was scrapped for unknown reasons.
