Hmmm...
To do:
Debugging, Level Select, and Dev Text stuff.

You're approaching the target of attack; your mission starts now, are you ready?

Unused Graphics

Appears almost everywhere, and yet unused everywhere.

This run-of-the-mill anti-drug message would seem to imply that a US-specific version was planned at one point.

In-Game Banner
Only showing one of it here. Ripping all of them is a complete chore. Shamelessly stolen from Bee Preying.

This image is an absolute mess when viewed in-game, but it seems that it was cut before it could be properly compressed. A variant of each possible ship pair is available, meaning that they might be planned to be used during the score screen.

No palette suitable for the image is available in-game, unfortunately.

Unused Sounds

Unused Laser SFX

This sound was presumably to be used for the laser exclusively for the blue ship, similar to how all ships have their own firing sounds in DonPachi. The implementation of the Shot-Type and Laser-Type modifiers render it unused.

It is later reused in DoDonPachi II for the blue ship and Dodonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou whenever Hyper Mode is activated.

Unused Music

This song is unused either, possibly for an alternate ending.

Regional Differences

Japan International
PROSECUTEDT TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE JAM PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW

The memetic copyright disclaimer screen seems to carry over from DonPachi. It was mercifully fixed in the International versions, which also includes some small changes in the beginning and the inclusion of Atlus' company name.
