An unlicenced port of Earthworm Jim 2 to the NES, made illegally without the involvement of Shiny or Interplay, and only featuring a portion of the levels from the original. Not to be confused with the other one.

Map View Mode

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Are the other cheat codes from the original game present?

Map view mode, as seen in the original game, can be also activated here by pausing the game, and entering the following cheat code: B+A, Up, Left, Down, Right, A, A, B. When entered correctly, Jim will disappear, and the player can freely move the camera around the level. To teleport Jim to the current location, press Start, and map view mode will be disabled. Note that this may not work on all revisions of the game, as the code appears to be stubbed out in some standalone versions - if you are having difficulty using the cheat, try a different revision.

Interestingly, using this cheat in any of the Puppy Love stages will instead play a sound effect and skip to the next level once all puppies/bombs have disappeared from the screen.

Revisional Differences

A later revision of the game, usually seen on multicarts (although standalone cartridges exist as well), adds a sound effect after pressing Start on the title screen, which is not present in the original release.
