Hmmm...
To do:
  • HDTF was pretty much built off the demo build of the game so a lot of the demo assets most likely made it over. Be it used or not.

Sounds

As it turns out, most of these tracks are "stock" ones that were mostly likely bought by Berkan (aside from the Last Legs ones) for the demo as evident by no composer being credited in the demo.
Sound File Filename Notes
devam.wav These two are the same, with the only difference being that devamsong.wav lasts 3 seconds longer. Its original song is "Everything Ends Here" by Gunpowderbob.
devamsong.wav
dmfull.wav A track used in the Antlion fight area. Its original song is "Doom 2" by Alexander Rufire
dmloop1.wav These sound files are just dropped parts from dmfull.wav.
dmloop2.wav
dmloop2long.wav Same as dmloop2.wav but looped.
lastlegs.wav The "Last Legs" track from Half-Life 2: Episode Two, but with most of the intro part cut out. (only 3 seconds of the intro compared to 15 second intro from the original track)
menutrack.wav Track used for the demo's main menu. Its original song is "Epic Cinematic Trailer 2 - Destroyer" by Kristopher Fisher. There exists an unused menu track in the demo that has an Audiojungle watermark.

Weapons

SDP pistol

The SDP pistol (although textureless) can be still found in the retail game. The weapon is a HL2 pistol reskin with different quirks. It can be acquired by typing "give weapon_pistol" in the console or by killing the "erorr cop" during the rooftop chase in act 3.

Interestingly, the model includes unused animations for iron sights, lowering the weapon, running and reloading the weapon while still full. These animations can also be found in the demo model. These features were never implemented in game. Only time the iron sights feature can be seen is in the 2016 trailer which is literally just Gmod with addons.

Models

Character models

Almost all of the NPC/character models from the demo are still in the game files.
