Indie Game Battle/Oddities
Oh dear, I do believe I have the vapors. This page contains content that is not safe for work or other locations with the potential for personal embarrassment. Such as: Textured nipples and crotches |

Way too many character slots
The demos (v0.01-v0.05) are notable in that the proposed character selection is much larger than anything that could be found in the "full" game - 140 slots.
When the game first went live, the amount of slots was slimmed down to a mere 59, but even then the game ceased development before it ever saw a complete roster, with the highest number of playable characters being 33.
No Adventure Mode
Despite taking up space on the main menu since day one and being part of the game's advertising throughout, the Adventure mode has never been made available to select at any point while Indie Game Battle was being developed and sold on Steam.
Extras (or lack thereof)
Throughout the game's development, the Extras menu only ever had one option: the credits.
At that, the credits have never been updated to reflect Missileman's removal from the roster after v2.01.
For the final build (v2.1, which officially went unreleased), Blob Games added a Gallery to the Extras menu. This has its own menu with only one option: Characters.
Viewing the roster here is conceptually like the Trophies in the Super Smash Bros. series. In practice, lots of models and descriptions were still left unimplemented.
Rendered Genitalia
If you were to play any matches with the first-party human characters (Matt, Aria, Chip, Huey), you might notice - especially close up - that they constantly clip through their clothes. Their clothes are not part of the characters' models, so the animations have a tendency to be even a little overlapped by who's wearing them.
So why would the clothes be separate models rather than built directly into the characters?
Beneath the clothes are textured naughty bits, rendered at all times without the average player knowing. While the males have alternate costumes that consist of only shorts, Aria's nipples were always justifiably hidden away by her top. All these characters share the same not-so-detailed crotch, consisting only of a little hair (?). Depending on the build you're playing, this may instead be a literal hole, allowing you to see right through the character in that spot.
Just as baffling as these textures is how easy it is to see them in-game. Unlike the unused characters, absolutely no playing around with the Registry Editor is neccesary. The easiest method for viewing them is by having one of the characters in question hang onto a ledge, pause the game, then zoom in as close as you can. The more you zoom in, the more clothes and accessories disappear since they are separate models.
