Unused Graphics

Extended Torture Scene

The neighbor's torture scene was originally going to be longer and more graphic. In the final game it ends right as V begins cutting his victim's fingers off, however the scene was actually fully animated and continued with V striking his victim with a golf club.

The sprite of the main character looks more crudely made than it is in the final version.

Prison Terry

There's a prison variant of the Strong Terry enemy that goes unused. There are also animations for the protagonist drowning him in the prison toilet, implying that Prison Strong Terry was eventually replaced with Fa Yuan, as that's exactly where and how The Dragon kills him.

Leftover Early Cutscene

Remember when YT had a little indifferent face when a video went down? TCRF remembers.
This page or section has one or more broken YouTube links.
Please find an archived version of a video or a suitable replacement.

On the first level, if you kill all the enemies in the final room and then return to the entrance instead of speaking to the scientist, a leftover cutscene from an earlier version of the game will play.

Unused Audio

Voice Acting

At one point in development, Askiisoft considered voice acting in Katana ZERO. This is the only remnant of it in the game files.

Sound Test

Using Cheat Engine to change address 02C35898 to 157 and starting a new game will allow you to access a hidden (but very primitive) sound test. This is also how you access other unused levels.
