Lagrange Point is a futuristic RPG by Konami. It is one of only two Famicom games to use the VRC7 mapper (the other being Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Trouble in Wackyland), and the only one to make use of the enhanced FM sound capabilities it provides, courtesy of a modified YM2413 core.

Sound Test

Music Test

Hold A + B on the second controller while powering on or resetting the game. Controller one is used to control the sound test. Press Up or Down to increase or decrease the song number, respectively. Press B to play the currently selected track, or A to stop.

Unused Cheat

The Game Genie code GAVXUTEI re-enables some strange easter egg at the ending sequence. When all characters are surrounding the main character and the nurse is kissing him, press A on Controller 2 to move all the characters closer. Release the button to return them back.

Unused Code

Lagrange Point (J)-starfield.gif

There is an unused code to add the animated star field to the title screen, disabled in the final release for some reason. You can easily re-enable it with the Game Genie code XVEKITAV.

And it seems there should be code intended to flash the palette for the title name's frame at some point during development, but it's quite unfinished and has a lot of bugs in the corrected version. You may still see how this should look like with additional Game Genie codes, applied to the previous one: SAOGLNSX+SAOKLNSX+EPNGAYEL.
