Unused graphics
Unused Portraits
Interestingly most of the creatures (except for the Reactor and the Demon Queen) have their unique portraits. A few are used for a circus characters. Also the first portrait below shows a sprite of unused human enemy or peasant and a Skeleton portrait is based on an old, unused variant of this enemy.
Monsters
Alternative Acolyte of Baa
Icons.lod contains alternative, yellow color palette for Acolyte of Baa. To see it in the game simply place pal165 file from Icons.lod in Bitmaps.lod.
Old Peasants Variants
There are both male and female alternative Peasants in the game files. They can be found on the Arena on low levels of experience, male Peasant animation is also used for Q enemy in the Temple of the Snake. They don't seem to differ from regular peasants except for their models.
Alternative Skeleton Enemy
Early variant of a Skeleton, however only his idle pose remains. An unused NPC portrait of the Skeleton is based on this model, not on the final one.
Alternative Broken Animation of a Bat
Among the sprites of a bat there are five unused animations with broken colour palette. Each one present the bat in one of five idle positions facing different directions. Here is one of them:
Diseased Heroes
Heroes affected by "diseased" condition has a set of appropriate portraits with dermatologic illness that can be found in the game files, sadly they're unused and replaced by portraits of heroes with "poisoned" condition.
Trade Signs
Dark and Light Guild Trade Sign
The final game features only Guilds, that sell Light and Dark magic tomes of knowledge separately; however this graphic and one of the prerelease graphic is proof the developers were also planning to place a guild that sells both Light and Dark magic tomes.
Apothecaries
Potions on these trade signs suggests, that there were plans for a one more type of shop - apothecary, that sells potions and ingredients just like in M&M7 and M&M8. Here in order from poor to rich.
Blacksmith
Poor and rich blacksmist signs - all the shops in the game uses averagely wealthy signs.
City Councils
Only Mist city council has one such sign, the rest remains unused
Poor Mercenary Guild
Poor Tavern
Pirate Tavern
Taverns in Eastern Bootleg Bay Island and Northern Eel Infested Waters Isle are run by a pirate, however their signs are swapped - the first is using Goblin's tavern sign, second is using rich tavern sign. Moreover Goblins in Bootleg Bay city and Southern Eel Infested Waters Isle also run taverns, but don't use corresponding signboards.

These chests do appear in the game world, however graphics of their insides are swapped with other chests.

Collectible Herbs
Widowsweeps berries, Phirna Root and Poppysnaps have unique graphics of shrubs, from which the player could pick up potion ingredients.
Old Fountain Sprite
This sprite can be seen from different angles on an old promo screenshots. In the game files however only one frame remains.

There are red and blue flags on some of the world's towers and castle, but green and yellow are not present.

Old Turn-Based Combat Hand Mode
Unused and Broken Water Walk Spell Animation Sprite
It's saved as the last sprite of the Water Walk spell animation, however it looks like it's unused and it's hard to tell what it was exactly going to depict.
