PMTTYDMagicalMap.png Magical Map
msg_treasure_map
A map from Princess Peach.
It locates the Crystal Stars.

PMTTYDMarioPicture.png Invalid Item

Poisoned Cake

in_poisoned_cake
PMTTYDPoisonedCake.png Poisoned Cake
msg_poisoned_cake
譎らおいしそうだけど どうして
こんなところに ケーキがあるの?

This is a dubious but delicious-looking cake. But why is it at a place like this?
Item ID: 0042
This cake can be found at the Glitz Pit, but it can't be placed in the player's inventory as it's automatically eaten. Judging by its placement in the item table, it was intended to be a key item.

Red Paper

in_unknown_item
PMTTYDRedNote.png Invalid Item
in_unknown_item
Invalid Item

Item ID: 0053
Like the blue paper, but it's not blue, obviously.

Star Stone

in_star_stone
PMTTYDStarKeyFinal.png 星の石

Star Stone

msg_star_stone
『星の石』で ございます
メッセージは かりで ございます

This is the "Star Stone". Temporary message.
(Note: This message uses "de gozaimasu", a more polite form of "desu" (it is / this is).
Item ID: 0069
Placeholder item for the Crystal Stars (called Star Stones in the Japanese version). This uses the same image as the Star Key. This is the only item with an untranslated inventory name.

Cake

in_cake
PMTTYDCake.png Cake
msg_cake
いわゆる 『ケーキ』
いわゆる うまい

It's what's called "cake". It's what's called delicious.
Item ID: 00A0
Selling Price: 5 Coins
This cake can be found at the Glitz Pit, but it's not placed in the player's inventory as it's automatically eaten. However, if hacked into the inventory, it does have a use! It will restore 10 HP and can be used in and out of battle.

Koopa Curse

in_kame_no_noroi
PMTTYDZapTap.png Koopa Curse
msg_kame_no_noroi
『カメののろい』だよん

It's the "Turtle Curse!"
Item ID: 00B2
Selling Price: 5 Coins
This is functionally complete, though its image in the menu and in battle is the default Zap Tap image.
Pmttyd koopa curse.png
Which is odd, since there is an appropriate image in the game.
Using this item in battle will give one enemy the "Slow" status effect, forcing it to rest every other turn. This lasts for 3 turns and does not stack.

Trade Off

in_teki_kyouka
PMTTYDTradeOff.png Trade Off
msg_teki_kyouka
Earns more Star Points than
usual after battles.

Item ID: 0091
Selling Price: 5 Coins
An interesting item that was very close to being completed, but was ultimately discarded. It even had its description translated! Unlike the Koopa Curse, it uses the appropriate image in all menus and in battle.
PMTTYDRankUp.png
Using it in battle will cause all enemies to "Rank Up!", and will add 2 or 3 (it alternates) Star Points per enemy after the battle. While the "Rank Up!" message (and the item's name) imply that the enemies would get tougher, the enemies' stats do not change.

Other Unused Item Images

Items that weren't coded at all.

PMTTYDCoconutItem.png
An unused coconut recipe involving a spoon or something.

PMTTYDFireRod.png
Some sort of rod with a fire flower at the head. Probable combat item.

PMTTYDPillow.png
A pillow. It could have been an early version of the blanket that you need to get for the Excess Express' conductor.
